Amazing Juice Recipes

I’ve recently got into juicing and wanted to share a few of my favorites. First off, if you don’t juice, or are just thinking about it, you’ll really want to get a juicer that works with just about any fruit or vegetable and is super easy to clean. If either of these two attributes are missing, you will stop making fresh, raw juice.

My favorite is the Omega 8004. It is exactly the same machine, guts-wise, as the 8006 but it has a white shell. It also costs $100 USD less because it’s white versus chrome. Personally, fingerprints bother me, so chrome was never an option. This juicer works with heavy greens, like spinach and wheatgrass, along with carrots, nuts, watermelon, citrus, and ginger root. Which means, it works with everything you’d juice. The pulp comes out nearly dry, even with watermelon (which has barely any pulp). You’ll learn little tricks like add ginger first and collect the pulp for tea.

Quick tips:

  • Cut/chop up all fruits and veggies into small pieces to fit them into the chute
  • Be ready to replace the juice collector if it fills (collector holds about 16 oz)
  • Wash machine parts immediately after juicing, or very shortly after (keeps from staining and maintains the 2 minute wash time… yes, it only takes me two minutes, max, to clean my Omega 8004.)
  • Use organic produce as appropriate and wash when applicable
  • All citrus is peeled unless noted

The Bulletproof Pumpkin Spice Un-Latte

From the Bulletproof Thanksgiving Blog (link above). Servings: This will make approximately 4-6 cups of pumpkin spice coffee.PSL3

NOTE: This is not an every day kind of drink, but a special treat!  Stick with classic Bulletproof Coffee to feel your absolute best all day long.

1 ¼ Cup Full Fat, Unsweetened Coconut Milk (you can used canned if you want)

3 tablespoons Brain Octane oil (or XCT oil)

3 tablespoons Organic Pumpkin Puree

2 tablespoons Stevia/Erythritol blend (you may prefer raw honey or maple syrup)

1 tablespoon Grassfed Unsalted Butter

1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice

½ teaspoon Bulletproof VanillaPSL2

Optional: 1 tablespoon raw organic maple syrup

Optional: 2 tablespoons raw whipped cream on top

Combine all ingredients in saucepan.  Over medium heat, simmer for approximately five minutes.  Stir well to evenly blend spices and oils.

In blender, add 2 1/2 cups Bulletproof coffee (brewed strong), add pumpkin spice mixture from saucepan – blend on high for 30 seconds until creamy and frothy.

(Option: if you don’t have blender, add premade coffee to pumpkin mixture and use hand blender in saucepan – blend till smooth and frothy.)

Optional: if you would like a sweeter (but less Bulletproof) version, add 1 tablespoon Raw Organic Maple Syrup to the blend.

Optional: add raw cream/whipped cream on top for a special treat, if you can find it!
